According to Chesapeake police, officers tried to stop a driver for reckless driving at the intersection of Volvo Parkway and Byron Street. They say the driver refused to stop.
The driver led police on a pursuit into Virginia Beach. It ended at the intersection of Indian River Road and Lacrosse Drive. They say the suspect hit a parked vehicle and ran from the scene.
An officer hit a tree in the same area.
All three vehicles had minor damages.
An officer sustained a minor injury.
Police are still searching for the suspect who is described as a black male, 5’10, 200 lbs and he is wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.
