Tonight - the soggy weather is raining out some plans for National Night Out against crime.
In the South Norfolk neighborhood in Chesapeake - the event will move to Saturday, October 6, 2012.
The National Night Out planned at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story is now moved to August 30.
National Night Out is an annual event held by police and people in neighborhoods across the country.
It's an effort to reduce crime - by getting people involved in their communities - and introducing them to local law enforcement officers.
The event is different in every city. Many include food, and activities for families.
