Free Event: Inaugural Back to School Extravaganza

Norfolk, VA – Naval Support Activity Hampton Roads (NSA HR) will give local families a helping hand in preparing for the upcoming school year, according to a release from the Navy. 

NSA HR will host the Inaugural Back to School Extravaganza at CAPT Slade Cutter Athletic Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Aug. 10. 

This free event will feature games and activities for various ages.

Officials say there will be Explosive Ordnance Disposal Robots and a mobile technology lab demonstration, a puppet show, free lunch, music, and an hourly raffle for free book bags and school supplies. Also featured will be different resource tables with information on environmental education, Tidewater Community College, Fleet and Family Support Center, and Operation Homefront.
