A man riding a scooter is wanted in Virginia Beach for several store thefts.

On Monday, August 6, 2012, at approximately 1:30 a.m., police say a suspect entered the 7-Eleven store located at 3312 Holland Road and took several items without paying.

On Saturday, August 18, 2012, at 11:20 a.m., the same suspect entered the business again, concealed items, and left without paying.

Officials say on both occasions, the same store clerk was working and saw the suspect taking the items. On one occasion, police say the suspect was seen attempting to reach over the counter to steal cigarettes. The suspect was seen leaving the store on a scooter.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 5’8 to 5’10, 280-300 pounds, heavy set, and appears to be in his 50s or 60s.

Police say he was wearing gray and black style swimming trunks and glasses during both incidents. He rides a yellow and black, or green and black scooter.

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.
