A man was shot and killed overnight in Hampton.
Hampton police responded to the 1100 block of Bethel Avenue, where they say it happened.
When officers got to the scene, they found the man lying on the ground with several gunshot wounds.
"He was transported with life threatening injuries. At 11:56 he did pass away as a result to those injuries," officials say.
As police continue to investigate, they gather evidence that they hope will lead them to the killer.
"We don't have any suspect information, nor do we have any motives surrounding this incident as the investigation is still very, very early on in its stages."
