James City County, Va. – A man has been arrested for sexually assaulting a 29-year-old woman at the Carter’s Grove Campground on Pocahontas Trail Wednesday evening.
James City County Police say Ronald Dezego Jr. entered the victim’s camper and attacked her at knife point.
The victim’s boyfriend and another man returned to the camper and heard the victim’s screams for help.
The two men fought with Dezego before he ran into the woods. He was arrested a couple hours later by police when he returned to the campground.
Dezego was charged with rape, forcible sodomy, burglary and abduction. He is currently being held at the Virginia Peninsula Jail without bond.
