Newport News, Va. – A Newport News man has been arrested for sexually assaulting two young girls over the course of several years in the 1990s.

62-year-old Allen Louis Davis has been charged with eight counts of forcible sodomy and two counts of aggravated sexual battery.

The case against Davis began in December of 2011, when a 25-year-old Newport News woman reported past child sexual abuse by Davis to the Newport News police.  A Special Victim’s Detective began an investigation into the allegations and learned that at some point between January 1992 and December 1996, the victim had been sexually assaulted on multiple occasions by a family member’s boyfriend.  The victim was six years old when the abuse began.

During the investigation, the detective discovered another girl, who is now 17-years-old, had also allegedly been victimized by Davis.  This victim was sexually assaulted between the ages of 7 and 8.  Both victims are related to one another.

Davis was arrested on Thursday and placed in the custody of the Newport News City Jail.

Anyone who believes they or their child may have been victimized by this suspect is asked to contact the Department’s Special Victims Unit at (757) 928-4200.
