An athletic field has been named for a murdered University of Virginia student.
Yeardley Love was killed in 2010 by her boyfriend, fellow student and lacrosse player, George Huguely.
The field was dedicated Sunday night at Notre Dame Prep, Love's high school in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dozens of people showed up to take part in the dedication.
"So many people. Friends. Family, total strangers. None of this would have been possible without these people," said Sharon Love, Yeardley's mother.
Besides the new field, a tuition scholarship fund in Yeardley Love's name has been established.
George Huguely was sentenced to 23 years in prison for her beating death.
