One person is dead in Norfolk after a motorcycle crash in the 200 block of Tidewater Drive.
Police say it happened between 2 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. Thursday morning.
The victim has now been identified as 48-year-old Mark Thomas Schroeder of the 1000 block of Taylor Road in Virginia Beach.
Police say Schroeder was exiting Interstate 264, going northbound on the 200 block of Tidewater Drive, when he lost control of his motorcycle and struck a guard rail.
Police say alcohol and speed are believed to be factors.
Police are still investigating.
