Dare County, N.C. – A Roanoke Island man has been arrested after being indicted by a grand jury on 12 counts of taking indecent liberties with a minor.
51-year-old Charles Richard Brewer II was arrested September 18.
A release from the Dare County Sheriff’s Office says the office first received a report from the Dare County Department of Social Services regarding reported indecent liberties taken with two juvenile victims on July 10th.
After investigating the reports, the Sheriff’s Dept. investigator turned her findings over to the Dare County Grand Jury, who indicted Brewer on Sept. 10th.
Brewer is being held at the Dare County Detention Center in lieu of $90,000 bond.
