The Gilmerton Bridge (Route 13/Military Highway) will close next weekend starting Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at 8 p.m. through Monday, Oct. 29, at 5 a.m. for construction.
The bridge closure will not affect marine traffic.
The Gilmerton Bridge is also closed weeknights, Sunday through Thursday, closing each night at 8 p.m. and opening each morning by 5 a.m.
Drivers can use the High Rise Bridge as an alternate during the overnight bridge closures or the Downtown Tunnel.
