Hampton police are looking for a suspect wanted for robbing a Food Lion store on Tuesday morning.
According to police, at 7:02 a.m. on October 23, 2012, a suspect entered the Food Lion store located in the 4000 block of West Mercury Boulevard. The suspect displayed a handgun, and demanded money from store employees. After receiving an unknown amount of cash, police say he then ran away.
The suspect was last seen running towards the back of the store. Police say he is described as being a black man, 5’11 and 200 pounds. According to reports, he was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a black coat with blue sleeves, and black pants. He also had on a black baseball hat with a white letter “M” on the front, a black backpack with gray reflectorized material, black gloves, and a black mask.
