Newport News, Va. - Newport News police have charged 31-year-old Crystal Dickerson Prescott of the 8800 block of Pocahontas Trail with aggravated assault and hit and run after she allegedly dragged her girlfriend under her car.
They say the incident occurred early Tuesday morning in the 500 block of Adams Drive.
Police say the two women got into an argument when Prescott got into a silver Chevy Malibu and started backing out of the parking space while the victim was standing next to the car.
They say the car’s tire ran over the Randi Roperson's hip and she was dragged under the vehicle.
She was treated at Riverside Hospital and suffered from lacerations to her arms, abdomen and legs.
Prescott remains in custody in the Newport News City Jail.
