Amber Alert cancelled: 1-year-old girl from Halifax County located by police

As of 6:58 a.m. Friday, November 16, 2012, the Amber Alert has been cancelled. Police officials have located the child. The child is now in protective custody.

The Virginia State Police and Virginia Missing Children Clearinghouse have issued an Amber Alert for a child abduction on behalf of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office in Halifax.

The alert was issued on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. 

The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office is looking for Alexis Rose Carwile, a black female who is a 1-year-old, with brown eyes and uncombed black hair. They say she was wearing  an orange shirt, blue jean pants and black, white and pink tennis shoes and a pink jacket.

The child is believed to be in extreme danger and was last seen at 1076 Lower Liberty Rd, Halifax , Virginia.

They say the child was likely abducted by Eric Eugene Black who is described as a black male who is  41-years-old. Police say he is 5’7″, has brown eyes and black hair and is about 145 pounds.

They are also looking for a second possible abductor by the name of Jennifer Dawn Carwile who is described as a white female who is 35-years-old, 5’5″ and weighs about 170 lbs. They say she has green eyes and red hair.

They may be traveling in a brown 1985 Nissan Station Wagon with license number xnj9177.
