Update: Police have now identified the victim as 26-year-old Richard Alexander.
Police are still investigating this case.
Chesapeake, Va. - Police say calls came in at 2:20 p.m. about an injured person in the 1000 block of Elco Street on Tuesday.
Officers arrived and found a man with a gunshot wound.
He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police say they do not have any suspect information at this time.
