Nothing like a homecoming just in time for the holidays.

Thousands of sailors and airmen will return to Hampton Roads, starting Tuesday.

About 60 aircraft and more than 160 personnel from Carrier Air Wing Seven - aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower - returned to Oceana Tuesday.

They're returning earlier than scheduled in order to complete flight deck resurfacing on the Eisenhower.

The USS Eisenhower and its sailors will be home Wednesday.
