On Wednesday, a 26-year-old Beach man, Michael Adam Orton, was sentenced to 10 years for two counts each of aggravated sexual battery and custodial indecent liberties
Orton pleaded guilty on August 14, 2012.
Officials say between January 1, 2010 and April 18, 2012, Orton repeatedly sexually assaulted two young children.
Officials say one of the children disclosed the abuse, and detectives from the Virginia Beach Police Department began investigating.
During an interview with detectives, officials say Orton admitted to abusing the children.
