New details have emerged about how an inmate escaped from the Hampton City Jail.

Michael Stanback got over the brick wall at the jail because his fellow inmates helped lift him up according to video evidence shown in court today.

Stanback escaped from the jail back in September saying it was a piece of cake.

Only NewsChannel 3 was there when police caught him.

A judge found probable cause to charge his accused helpers, John Lewis, Jr., Tyshaun Baker, and William Stanley,III.

Their cases will now head to a grand jury for indictment.
