Virginia Beach, Va. – In response to last week’s tragic shooting in Connecticut, Southside Hampton Roads public school divisions are uniting to reach out to the families of Sandy Hook Elementary School and the community of Newtown.
Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk and Virginia Beach public schools are encouraging their respective communities to contribute to the Sandy Hook School Support Fund set up by the United Way of Western Connecticut. The Newtown community has recognized this United Way fund as its preferred donation site.
