Chesapeake house fire displaces three on Christmas Eve

Chesapeake, Va. – Three people in Chesapeake were displaced Christmas Eve after a fire in their garage spread to the home.

Fire crews arrived at the blaze in the 1300 block of Monarch Reach in the Riverwalk section of Chesapeake to find heavy flames coming from the garage.

The two adults home at the time were alerted by the smoke detector and got out safely.

The home sustained heavy damage and the cause of the blaze is under investigation.
