Eight displaced in Beach structure fire

According to Virginia Beach fire crews, eight people have been displaced after a fire broke out in the 600 block of Red Horse Lane. 

They say calls came in at around 7:06 p.m. on Wednesday night. 

Crews say the fire is out now, but there is significant damage to the building. 

The fire started in the kitchen, and there was also moderate smoke damage to two units on each side of the unit involved. 

No injuries were reported. 

Residents in the neighboring units were not displaced and they should be able to return to their homes soon. 

The cause is still under investigation.
