Dare County deputies searching for source of shots fired on Roanoke Island over several nights

Dare County, N.C. – The Dare County Sheriff’s Office is searching for whomever has been firing shots on Roanoke Island over the last several nights.

Over the nights of Jan. 1-3, during the hours from around midnight to very early morning, there have been shots fired in the area of the Morrison Grove Apartments on Roanoke Island.  

No calls were placed to law enforcement at the time of the incidents. 

One specific incident was discovered after a vehicle was found with bullet holes in it in the parking lot at the Morrison Grove Apartments. 

There have been no injuries associated with the shootings.
