Norfolk, Va.--Several cats are believed to be dead after a fire in Norfolk.

Crews have now determined that the fire started in the laundry room. There was significant damage to the home. They were able to find four cats alive. One is still unaccounted for, but they believe the rest have died.

Crews have ruled the fire accidental.

Fire officials say a home on Inlet Road near Inlet Point Road caught fire just before 2 a.m. Monday in the city's Bayview Section.

Fire crews say a couple and their granddaughter made it out of the home.

Crews are still trying to figure out what started the early morning fire.
