Hampton, Va. – Police have made an arrest in a shooting that happened on Monday afternoon.
Hampton police have arrested 21-year-old Tyrell Jordan of the 2100 block of Zinzer Road. He is now charged with one count of discharge of a firearm.
Police say on Monday, January 21, 2013, crews responded to the 2100 block of Woodmansee Drive at 3:41 p.m. after receiving reports of shots fired nearby. Witnesses gave police a description of the vehicle the suspect was driving while fleeing the scene.
Officers found the suspect vehicle – a green 1993 Toyota Camry – near the intersection of Buckroe Avenue and Old Buckroe Road. Police arrested the suspect during a traffic stop, without incident.
Police tell NewsChannel 3 Tyrell Jordan had fired multiple shots in the 2100 block of Woodmansee Drive. No injuries were reported during that shooting, and no objects were struck.
