Newport News, Va.—On Wednesday, Newport News residents will have a new place to shop and work.
A new Walmart Neighborhood Market will have a grand opening on Wednesday at 7:30 a.m. on 11214 Jefferson Ave.
The new store will feature a variety of fruits and vegetables, cakes and bread as well as meats and other food items.
The store will also have a pharmacy with a drive-thru lane.
According to a press release, this opening creates 90 jobs in the area.
There will be a ribbon cutting celebration at 7:30 a.m.
Throughout the day, there will be product samplings, giveaways and other entertainment events.
