Update: Missing man located in Newport News

Randolph Vinson

Update: Police officials say Randolph Vinson has been located, and has returned to his residence.

Newport News, Va. – Police need help finding a missing man.

On Monday, February 11, 2013, at about 12 p.m., police say 55-year-old Randolph Deroy Vinson left his home (Hilton Plaza Assisted Living Facility) located at 311 Main Street in Newport News.  Staff members say Vinson was last seen at lunch time.  When he did not show up for dinner, police were contacted at approximately 7:00 p.m.

Officials tell NewsChannel 3 Vinson is reported to suffer from mental illness and has not had his scheduled medications.

Randolph Vinson is described as a black male, with black hair, brown eyes, six feet tall, about 160 pounds, and 55 years old.

Vinson was last seen wearing a black suede jacket and blue warm-up pants.

Anyone that has seen Randolph Vinson or knows his whereabouts is asked to call Newport News Police at 757-247-2500.
