More than 140 years of history went up in flames when a Virginia church was destroyed in a weekend fire.

The fire happened early Sunday morning at the Rocky Hill United Methodist Church in Nottoway County in Central Virginia.

It took six fire crews about four hours to put the flames out.

Investigators are still trying to figure out what caused the fire.
