Power restored

Hampton, Va. – Power has been fully restored to Hampton residents. That’s according to the Dominion Virginia Power website.

As many as 46,000 customers lost power Monday night because of a broken cross arm.

Dominion Virginia Power crews worked overnight on Three Chopt Road to fix the problem.

The outage stretched down Mercury Boulevard to Big Bethel Road and several streets in between.

At one point, two nursing homes were in the dark. But thanks to generators, the residents  living there were fine.
