Newport News, Va. - Newport News police are searching for two men who robbed the Shell station at 12089 Jefferson Avenue early Saturday morning.
Police say the two entered shortly before 1:15 am. One man was carrying a long gun and demanded money while the other stayed at the door and acted as a lookout.
The suspect at the door was described as being of unknown race dressed in all black clothing approximately 5”9”, thin build. The suspect with the weapon was described as possibly a black male, light skinned, approximately 5”10”, slightly heavier build then the male at the door, wearing dark clothing, and a bright blue doo-rag around his face.
The two were last seen with an undisclosed amount of cash heading on foot toward the Impressions Apartments next door to the station.
No one was injured in the robbery.
