Virginia Beach, Va. - Several students were shaken up when a school bus driver slammed on the brakes to avoid an accident on Westbound I-264 west of Witchduck Road shortly after 4pm this afternoon.
According to Virginia Beach schools, the bus was from Larkspur Middle School and six students were on board at the time.
Four of the students were taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure, the other two were examined at the scene and then taken home by Virginia Beach schools personnel.
Two lanes on I-264 and the on ramp from Witchduck Road were closed due to the accident but are now back open.
