According to the Coast Guard, crews responded to a distressed fishing vessel about 15 miles west of Assateague Island, Md. on Wednesday. They have now temporarily suspended the search.  They say this is due to the low visibility from clouds, rainfall and on scene winds of 50 to 60 mph.

Crews will resume the search by Sunrise on Thursday.

Crews received calls at around 10:39 a.m.

One man was found on a life raft and was rescued by an aircrew. He was taken to the Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Md.

Two others have been reported missing and crews are currently searching the area.
