What at first appeared to be an angry wife’s billboard calling out her cheating husband in Greensboro, North Carolina has turned into a conversation, and now looks to be the work of a company trying to promote some restaurants.
A new message appeared on the billboard in question today, this time from the alleged cheating husband:
"I should have bought you flowers.
--Michael"
The original billboard that first appeared on Battleground Avenue, near Wendover Avenue said:
"Michael --
GPS tracker -- $250, Nikon camera with zoom lens -- $1,600, catching my LYING HUSBAND and buying this billboard with our investment account -- Priceless.
Tell Jessica you're moving in!-- Jennifer"
Thursday, a new billboard message appeared, alternating with the original:
"Jessica --
Meet me at Yodaddy's at 7:00 p.m. for some wine therapy.
--Jennifer"
Friday, billboard owner and proprietor of the Yo Daddy frozen yogurt shop, Marty Kotis, would not say if the dialogue between Michael, Jessica and Jennifer is a hoax, but he said we can expect to see more messages from them, possibly later Friday, according to WFMY News 2.
Kotis said that the billboard mentioning his yogurt shop's name is a good thing and that they have received a lot of attention.
The billboard will be populated with more content from other advertisers, unrelated to Jennifer and Michael, in the coming days - according to Kotis. He said that lots of advertisers have contacted him about advertising on the billboard since the message first appeared Wednesday.
