Update: The water main break in the 800 block of Laskin Road has now been isolated, Beach city officials say. Customers should now have water service and normal water pressure.
Virginia Beach, Va. – A water main break has been reported in the 800 block of Laskin Road in Virginia Beach. Public Works officials tell NewsChannel 3 that crews are working to make repairs now.
The water main break on Laskin Road near the 29th Street water tank is causing low pressure in the oceanfront area from Fort Story to Rudee Inlet.
Crews are on site, and responding to isolate the leak and close the valve, according to Jim Cherry of the Virginia Beach City Manager’s Office.
The road is not currently closed, however, a traffic closure may take place in the eastbound lane during repairs. Watch NewsChannel 3 for updates as they come in.
