(CNN) — Heidi Klum’s Hawaii beach vacation with family turned frightening on Sunday when her son, Henry, was pulled into a riptide along with two nannies.
As Us Weekly reported, Klum and her bodyguard/boyfriend, Martin Kirsten, immediately raced to save the 7-year-old and the caretakers. Henry is Klum’s oldest son; she’s also mom to Leni, 8; Johan, 6; and Lou, 3.
“We were pulled into the ocean by a big wave. Like any mother, I was very scared for my child and everyone else in the water,” Klum told CNN in a statement. “Thankfully Henry is a strong swimmer and was able to swim back to land and we were able to get everyone out safely.”
The 39-year-old model and TV personality, who’s currently hosting the latest season of “Project Runway,” will appear on “America’s Got Talent” as a judge this summer.
