Virginia Beach, Va. – Starting Monday, road work will begin on Great Neck Road.
Milling, paving, and pavement marking work will begin on Great Neck Road on Monday, April 8, through Tuesday, April 30, 2013.
Work will be during the evening hours from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m., and will be in both directions (north/south bound) from Coach Lane to Falcon Drive Trail.
If weekend work is needed – the hours of operation on those days will be from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m.
The milling and paving operation is likely to produce traffic delays, congestion, and some construction noise.
Advanced warning signs will be clearly posted advising motorists of lane closures. Citizens are urged to use alternate traffic routes when possible.
All scheduled work is weather-permitting.
