Hampton, Va. – Three suspects are now wanted in Hampton for assaulting and robbing two children of their shoes at gunpoint, police tell NewsChannel 3.
On April 1 at approximately 11:30 p.m. officers responded to the 1900 block of Moger Drive in reference to a robbery.
Two Hampton juveniles were walking in the area when they were approached by three unknown suspects, says Cpl. Mary Shackelford of Hampton. The suspects assaulted the victims and displayed a firearm.
The suspects removed the victims’ basketball shoes and ran away from the scene. The suspects were last seen heading towards Grimes Road.
The victims were not injured, police say.
Police are investigating, but no arrests have yet been made.
