UPDATE: Eastbound and westbound lanes in the 2400 block of Holland Road/Route 58 have been reopened.
Suffolk, Va. – Crews are now on the scene of a gas leak at a construction site at Centerpoint Drive and Holland Road in Suffolk. Both NB and SB lanes in the 2400 block of Holland Road/Rte. 58 are shut down.
Businesses in the area were told to stay inside of their buildings.
They say a gas line was damaged Monday morning while a contractor was working at the site.
Virginia Natural Gas is on the scene now.
