Southampton County, Va. - A statement has been released by the family of a man who was killed in a charter bus accident last week in Southampton County.
Doval Watson was thrown from the Horizon Coach Lines Charter Bus on Route 58 with his wife, Theresa Watson.
The bus was headed to Hampton University's Open House Day from Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
The family states, "Doval was not only a very loving and concerned father but also a pillar of the community and he will be greatly missed."
Theresa was released from the hospital yesterday. The statement also mentions that her condition continues to improve and that she is expected to make a full recovery.
The driver of the bus, 62-year-old Larry Brocks of Raleigh, was charged with reckless driving.
