No computer access at Newport News library due to air conditioning problem

Posted

Newport News, Va. – Public computers are not available today, Thursday, April 11, at Virgil I. Grissom Library because the air conditioning is not functioning properly.

Air temperature inside the library is 85 degrees, requiring the shutdown of all of the computers for the public use and most computers for staff use.

Temperatures also have reached 85 degrees inside the enclosed computer lab, so those public computers also are not available.

Repairs to the library’s air conditioning are expected to be completed by Monday, April 15. The air temperature inside the library will dictate when services will resume, officials say.

Please contact Grissom Library, located at 366 DeShazor Drive, at 757-369-3190 for more information.
