Update: Tevin Terry has been caught.

Newport News, Va. – The search is on for a man wanted for multiple charges, including malicious wounding, after a woman was shot last week.

Police are searching for 21-year-old Tevin Leon Terry, with a last known address in the 2800 block of Marshall Avenue.

Terry is wanted for malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

These charges stem from an incident on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at approximately 7:27 p.m. in the area of 29th Street and Marshall Avenue.

Police say two people were involved in a physical altercation when a 25-year-old Newport News woman tried to intervene, and was shot in the shoulder by Tevin Terry.

The woman was taken to a local hospital with a non life-threatening injury.
