Wheelchair-bound man charged with shooting in Suffolk

Suffolk, Va. – A man walking down a Suffolk street was shot by a man in a wheelchair, Suffolk officials tell NewsChannel 3.

It happened on Tuesday, April 16, around 8 p.m. in the 300 block of Spurce Street, according to Suffolk Spokesperson Diana Klink.

The victim noticed a man pushing another man in a wheelchair, who then allegedly shot at him.

Several shell casings were discovered on the scene; the victim was not hurt.

31-year-old Patrick A. Stovall has been charged with use or display of a firearm in commission of a felony; attempted aggravated malicious wounding; discharging a firearm in public at an occupied building; and sale/distribution of marijuana.
