Dinwiddie County, Va. – A memorial set up for slain Virginia State Master Trooper, J.A. Walker is now being removed from the interstate where he was killed according to our sister station WTVR.

State Police say the items at the memorial could distract drivers and they were removed for safety reasons. They are now working to put an official memorial at the site.

If you would like to pay respects to Officer Walker, you can do so at the Virginia State Police Area 7 Office located at 25650 Simpson Road, Petersburg, Va.
