UPDATE: The school bus accident on 258 Westbound and Rte. 652 has been cleared.
Isle of Wight County, Va. – At approximately 9:00 a.m. today a school bus from Isle of Wight Academy traveling northbound on Route 258 was struck by a southbound vehicle that crossed the double line, according to the Isle of Wight County Sheriff’s office.
No students were on the bus and the bus driver was not injured. The driver of the other vehicle was transported by Nightingale to an area hospital.
The incident occurred about a mile north of the Bobwhite Rd. intersection.
No charges have been filed, pending investigation.
Westbound traffic has been shut down.
