This has been one of the calmest years on record for twisters according to USA Today.
Within the last 12 months, we’ve seen the fewest number of tornadoes since at least 1954 and this forecast is expected to last for another week or more.
They say the reason this is happening is because of an unusually cool weather pattern from the Rockies to the East Coast.
In May, which is normally the most active month, there have only been three tornadoes formed and they’ve all been rated EF-0, the weakest rating for tornadoes.
