Virginia Beach, Va. - A driver was arrested around 12 a.m. Friday morning after striking a bicyclist near Kings Point Road and South Rosemont Road and fleeing the scene.
Edy Alejandro Vergara, 24
Police arrested 24-year-old Edy Alejandro Vergara of the 600 block of Lee Boulevard Road, Fort Eustis. He is charged with DUI and Felony Hit and Run. He is currently being held at the Virginia Beach Correctional Center without bond.
The victim was transported to a local hospital, treated for minor injuries, and released.
