Norfolk, Va. - ODU's Ben Verlander has been named a semi-finalist for the Gregg Olson Award.
The award is given to college baseball's top player who elevates his game to an elite level throughout the season.
The Monarchs' right fielder was named CAA player of the week three times this year. He is hitting 367 with 11 home runs. The winner of the award will be announced during the college world series June 15th.
