UPDATE: Virginia Beach man arrested in Bank of America robbery

Virginia Beach, Va. – A Virginia Beach man has been arrested and charged in a robbery at a Bank of America on Tuesday.

It happened on Tuesday, June 4, 2013. Emergency Communications received a call at 4:30 p.m. for a robbery at the Bank of America located at 3333 Virginia Beach Boulevard.

The caller stated a lone suspect entered the bank, implied a weapon, and demanded money from the victim.

The suspect ran away to an awaiting vehicle with an undisclosed amount of money, police say.

No one was injured during the robbery.

Within moments, officers found the suspect vehicle and apprehended the suspect without incident.

The suspect is identified as 47-year-old Sean Alan Mase, of the 1100 block of Debussy Court in Virginia Beach. He is charged with Robbery and Use of a Firearm. He is currently being held at the Virginia Beach Correctional Center without bond.

This case remains under investigation.
