Suffolk, Va. – Suffolk crews had to remove a door to rescue a 54-year-old woman from a GMC pick-up truck that had flipped several times on Lake Cohoon Road on Tuesday morning.

Dispatchers were alerted to the accident at 7:49 a.m.

Officials say the truck hit a ditch bank and finally stopped in front of a tree. Crews had to close part of the road to clear the accident.

Kathleen Hope Cichorz from Windsor was the only person in the car at the time.

She was airlifted to Sentara Norfolk General for non-life threatening injuries.

This accident is still under investigation.
