Police investigate shooting outside of Norfolk IHOP

Norfolk, Va. - Police are investigating a shooting that happened outside of the IHOP on North Military Highway in Norfolk.

Police say they responded to a call for a fight around 2:40 a.m.

Employees at IHOP tell NewsChannel 3 they heard about 20 shots fired.

Police say gunshots were exchanged between two adult males.

Officials say shortly after, a wounded suspect showed up at Sentara Leigh Hospital and was transported to Sentara Norfolk General. Another wounded suspect walked into Sentara Norfolk General.

Police say both were suspects from the fight and have non life-threatening injuries.

One of the suspects is a 21-year-old black male and has been charged with malicious wounding. The other is a 25-year-old black male and has been charged with malicious wounding and shooting into an occupied vehicle.
