Two slashed during attempted abduction at Deep Creek home

Chesapeake, Va. - Chesapeake police are investigating after they say a man went into a home and tried to abduct a woman on Deep Creek Blvd. They say two people were cut and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have arrested and charged the initial person of interest Quashawn Vaughan 19 of Victory Village, Portsmouth with two counts of abduction, two counts of Malicious Wounding, one count of strangulation and one count of Rape.  He is being held in the Chesapeake City jail without bond.

NewsChannel 3 spoke to a woman who lives right down the street from the trailer park where it all happened. She says she was just sitting outside when she saw a man walk by and throw something on the ground near a creek. She says he then sprinted down the street.

She says she walked over to see what the item was and discovered a pair of bloody scissors.
